Last weekend, I was a voyeur. Passing through my neighborhood, I heard a squeal and looked over. There, a child went running, arms spread, down the sidewalk to a waiting elderly woman, who had just stepped out of her car. It was, I knew immediately, a grandparent-grandchild reunion. The family was gathered on the porch laughing, joyous. I was so blissed out from it that I told a few friends, one of whom said she just saw a similar reunion near the market in our neighborhood.
